Oliver Schupp
Oliver Schupp was borne in Essen in 1960. His mother loved entertaining her guests with her wonderful cooking. She also translated cookbooks. Thus Oliver's exquisite taste was nurtured at home. Early in life he was in charge of his parents' wine cellar.
After obtaining his degree in biochemistry, in 1992 he opened the "Wuergeengel", for many years now a Kreuzberg institution. In 1999 he took over the Gorgonzola Club located next door. He also founded the Bellmann in the Reicheberger Strasse and co-owned the Langhans. His handwriting is all over his projects; he looks for old and forgotten spaces where he sees charm and ambiance. He fills these spaces with new life by offering discriminating service and finest quality cuisine.
